Eurocontrol participating to the Italian Companies’ Underwater Capabilities Workshop.

The Italian Directorate for Naval Armaments (NAVARM) under the high patronage of the Italian General Secretariat of Defense has promoted a workshop on the capabilities of Italian Underwater sector companies aiming to optimize the industrial assets interconnected from the AIAD Federation of Italian Companies for Aerospace, Defense and Security, small and medium enterprises and majors of the sector, to research institutions and universities involved in underwater system development projects.
Specifically, the workshop focused on three topics: Designing of new-generation underwater vehicles, weapon, navigation and payload systems, new technologies and materials. The Italian Navy has outlined the requirements for the next generation of its U.U.V. underwater systems (Unmanned Underwater Vehicles).

Eurocontrol for many years has been designing and manufacturing high-tech systems specifically conceived for the Underwater sector, and wished to take part to this important meeting and discussion opportunity characterized by a high technical and scientific profile, supported by the participations of the industrial sector’s personalities and highly represented by the Italian armed forces.
